PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS, LONDON DOWNTOWN HOSTS SEVERAL SIGNATURE EVENTS PER YEAR.
Love Letters to London.
Each February, London Downtown welcomes Valentine’s Day in a unique and meaningful way: Love Letters to London. Local businesses open their doors to host vintage typewriter and stationery stations, where community members are invited to pen notes of appreciation to friends, family, beloved local shops, or special places across our city. Love Letters to London is a reminder that the smallest expressions of love can strengthen the bonds that hold us together.
Redbud Ride.
Recognized as the “Best Century Ride in America”, the Redbud Ride is held each spring in downtown London, the Redbud Ride is a must-do experience for cyclists of all levels. With four scenic route options (24, 34, 72, and 100 miles), this fully supported ride winds through the rolling hills and blooming redbud trees of southeastern Kentucky.
Honeybun Day.
Held each October in downtown London’s Town Center Park, Honey Bun Day honors the legacy and economic impact of the Flowers Foods Honey Bun bakery - a local icon since 1953. Honey Bun Day is more than a celebration of a tasty treat - it’s a celebration of community pride, local heritage, and the economic vitality powered by a homegrown business. It’s where every sweet bite reinforces the value of supporting local tradition and industry in London.
Mistletoe Market.
The Mistletoe Market brings holiday magic to our streets in the days leading up to Christmas. Local businesses, artisans, makers, and food vendors set up charming booths filled with handcrafted gifts, festive décor, and delicious treats - transforming downtown into a vibrant holiday marketplace. Whether you’re searching for one-of-a-kind presents or just soaking in the spirit of the season, the market is a joyful way to connect, celebrate, and give back to our community.
